I told him to complain to the credit card company

Placed an online order for the “Cool and Calm” bouquet (ironic, really, after this ordeal) for my mother’s birthday. The owner called shortly after the order was placed to state that they didn’t have the blue flowers and would substitute for a different color. That was acceptable. What was received was not at all the same bouquet. Literally, in the utmost literal sense, not one single flower was the same, not even 1%. The flowers that were substituted were of lesser quality and cost. I called to complain, and was told that I was notified of the change in the morning and was essentially questioned as to why I’m complaining. I was also told that somewhere on the website that they may not have the flowers in the photo and may substitute for something else. So, does that give them the right to substitute anything and everything at their discretion? If you don’t have one single flower then why are you even offering that bouquet for sale on your website? Simply remove that as an option and allow the customer to pick something you have. What followed was an argument about what was stated about the notification of the change. The owner denied that they said that it was only the blue flowers that were to be changed. Honestly, why would I pick a bouquet and then agree to allow the shop to change everything? That makes no sense. I was asked what I wanted. What I wanted was to return the flowers for a refund. They were in my mother’s possession for a few hours only, so they could easily be re-sold. I was offered to return the flowers for a store credit. Why should I accept a store credit from a business that cannot fulfil even 1% of an order? What a great offer too, my mother doesn’t get any flowers and I’ve essentially bought a gift card at a flower shop that’s shown themselves to be incompetent. Then the nonsense kicked in. The owner asked if my mom was happy. What frickin’ difference does that make? She would be happy with one white rose, but that’s not what I paid for. I told them I was going to file a chargeback, which prompted the owner to accuse me of threatening her, and then she hung up on me. That’s great customer service there....It’s not like you run a business where you’re dealing with customers that are often in sensistive situations, or anything like that. On a hunch, I called the store back (the owner wasn’t working in the store at the time) to inquire about the deal of the day, and guess what? It resembled the bouquet that was sent in place of what I ordered at half the cost! Just total unscrupulous, fraudulent behavior. So, the scam is to call the customer and offer to change out some of the flowers, change out everything to stuff you can’t sell and then you can claim that you called to notify about the change. Feel free to reply Bayberry, let’s have a nice conversation about this for all to see where you can’t hang up on me.
